Cupcake
Ava LOVES her cupcakes! These are part of a tea set she got to play with her in their kitchen. These little cupcakes are always in her hands. As soon as we get home from an outing, she starts yelling "CUPCAKE" as she enters the house. Last night, I caught her trying to hide a cupcake in her bed so she could sleep with it. In the morning, the first thing she says to me is not, "hi mommy," or "i love you"; it's, "CUPCAKE". She even tried to give me her lovey so she could hold another cupcake in the other hand! It is amazing to me the things kids get attached to.

Summertime Fun!
Well, the girls and I are getting pretty desperate for things to do these days. The girls get bored very quickly. I am not sure how; we have most of Toys R Us in our house!! But after two hours of them going nuts inside this morning, we decided to head out for a walk around the neighborhood. Fortunately, their friend Carsen was outside so he walked with us and then came over to play. That entertained the girls for a little while but I think they changed from 6 different activities within 20 minutes! We enjoyed our visit with Carsen this morning.
After nap, we decided to set up our "swimming pool". While we were playing outside, the ice cream truck came by. YEY!! Perfect timing because when my girls eat ice cream, they also wear ice cream! Since we had our swimsuits on, it didn't matter. They could get as messy as they wanted and then go wash off in the water. Oh and Ava doesn't like to hold her popsicle by the stick, she likes to hold the white part of the red, white and blue firecracker popsicle! Therefore, the blue drips on her arm and leg and the red goes all over her mouth. Our patriotic little girl.

You see in this next picture, we have moved to the water and Ava is still holding onto that popsicle.
We had a blast today! Summertime is a new experience this year with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Staying inside and playing inside just won't do anymore!
I wonder what's in store for us tomorrow.....

Hayden Learning to Swim
Wejust returned from our annual vacation to Orlando, Florida. We had a blast! The girls really enjoyed themselves and I will have to post more about our vacation--with pictures--shortly but here is a milestone I wanted to share with you. Hayden learned how to swim, with her swim vest on, but she finally got over her fear of going under the water. It took a few days of trying but she slowly started to let go of Mommy and Daddy and then was even willing to go under the water. After this, it was pretty difficult to get her away from the swimming pool. She is ready to head over to Booma and Poppy's pool to show them how she can swim! Our little girl is growing up.

Hayden's Experience as a flower girl
In late March, Hayden got the privilege of being aflower girl in a wedding of some sweet friends. She loved every minute of it. The weekend kept her extremely busy but our sweet girl made it through. She did a wonderful job! Here are a few pictures to show off our weekend!
