December Snow 2010

I still can't believe it snowed on Christmas in Georgia! What a beautiful way to end the celebration of the birth of our Savior!

It was actually kind of funny that it snowed this Christmas. Bruce has been talking about his "ideal Christmas" being a "White Christmas". So, as a little Christmas surprise I ordered the snow in a minute (fake snow) so we could cover the ground and give him a semi-white Christmas. Well, God took care of it for me and made it even better!

We watched the snow come down and cover the ground all around our house. We would have been happy with just seeing the flurries but we were blessed with so much more! Our house and yard was covered with at least three inches of beautiful, white, fluffy snow! This snow was special to our girls because they both got to really play in it. Last February when it snowed, both girls were sick (Ava was still too little to go out), so we didn't really get to play in the snow. This year, they were finally well and got to enjoy this beautiful weather...we all got to enjoy it together!

Here are a few pictures to walk you through our day in the snow...

The girls were ready to get out in the snow and play.

Hayden was not afraid to walk out in the snow even though it came above her ankles! She ran all over the yard!

It took Ava awhile, but she finally got down and touched the snow. She spent most of her time laughing at her sister.

We found a spot for our snowman in the shade so he could hopefully last a little longer. Daddy helped us to get started.

Then it was our turn to jump in...

It was a little too cold so we didn't make our snowman too tall. We told Hayden he was Ava's size.

Bruce's "fake snow" is under God's snow to the right of this picture. Yeah, God's way is always so much better!
